The audition will be conducted according to a program consisting of 3 (three) parts, as follows:
-a previously prepared etude;
-one monologue of your own choice, and
-assigned material from dramatic literature – a monologue chosen by the Commission.
The assigned material is the drama text "Longing" by Sarah Kane, that is, the separated monologue of character A, and you have it as an attachment.
You are required to interpret the entire audition program by heart.
The audition will be held on January 22, 2024 and January 23, 2024, on the stage of the National Drama Theater Skopje.
The order of the candidates' performances will be determined by drawing lots. The drawing will take place on 22.01.2024, starting from 8:30, in the theater's internal cafe. Candidates who choose numbers from 1-40 will perform on the same day as the draw, i.e. 22.01.2024 starting at 9:30 a.m., and candidates with a chosen number greater than 40 will perform on 23.01.2024 starting at 9:00 a.m. The drawn numbers and the candidate's name will be recorded by a theater employee due to the inability to change the numbers and the order of performance.
If the number of candidates decreases drastically on the day of the draw, it may be decided to conduct the audition in only one day, on January 22, 2024. The audition isn't public.
The performance is of limited duration of maximum 12 minutes. The committee has the right to interrupt the performance if the candidate exceeds the specified duration for the performance.
The performance will be evaluated by scoring, i.e. it will be scored speech technique, movement on stage and the ability to analyze characters and realize them, whereby the maximum number of points that can be earned is 30, i.e. for speech technique the maximum number of points that can be earned is 10, for movement on stage the maximum number of points that can be earned is 10, and the ability to analyze characters and realize them can be assessed with a maximum of 10 points.
The candidates' performance will be recorded and the video recording will be used only for the needs of the Commission.
