A play about men who don't cry. About women who wait. And about the silence that kills.
This play speaks about inherited patterns of silence and violence, and the price we pay when we don't know how to talk about emotions. Through intense dialogue, live situations, and direct communication with the audience, the play opens up the topic of mental health, shame, and the fear of vulnerability, especially among men.
The play is made according to conventions that arise from the applied theater section, in this case PUBLIC THEATER. This means that it is interactive and we also include people from the audience in it. The play breaks the fourth wall from the very beginning, and creates a sense of togetherness and the motto that we are in this together and together we can solve and understand it.
The play moves from sarcasm to trauma, from laughter to spasm. It also plays with the audience, who is not only a witness but also a participant in the personal confession of a man who realizes too late that the inability to speak kills. This form of theater is used for practical purposes, with an emphasis on social, pedagogical, therapeutic and political aspects. We decided to work with these methods because the primary goal of applied theater is not only aesthetic or entertaining, but also to cause changes in society, solve problems, or illuminate important topics through interaction and experiences.
