Is there a truly successful relationship, a perfect marriage, or are partners striving to achieve an impossible concept, something that is a construct of society? Life in a community is different from the idealized love that partners expect to happen and last, and from the image of a community that dominates the digital world. With "Couples" I wanted to write a drama about partners stuck in the tragicomic everyday life of living together. I am more interested in showing what is not seen, to write about loneliness and the problems that partners face, but keep them within four walls. Struggle for dominance, ego, toxic male-female relationships, partners who are more important to professional success and social status, partners who wish they had never met, cheat on each other, marriages that have become routine, partners who have different expectations, experience disappointments and are comical in their powerlessness. The drama "Couples" shows several pairs of partners in different situations and stages of their lives. What connects them all is the need for love and the powerlessness to change things.
